Favorites new and old marked yesterday’s holiday concert. I particularly enjoyed Zeffiro Choir’s Children, Go Where I Send Thee and Dashing Through the Snow with Spirare Choir. It’s great to see families join together to enjoy this concert and to see alumni and former choir families coming back to visit and support this year’s choristers.
March 14, 2013 All Choirs and special musical guests perform at the Bing Crosby Theater in downtown Spokane. Concert is at 7:00 PM and tickets will be available at the door. This fun annual event features music from around the world. Tickets $5 students and seniors/ $8 general admission.

Susan Windham is a gifted vocalist, pianist and teacher. She accompanies the Piccolini and Spirare Choirs. As an opera singer, Susan has performed in Spokane Symphony productions, Spokane Opera and the University of Northern Iowa Lyric Theatre. Her vocal credits include solo work in Mozart’s “Requiem”, Haydn’s “Creation”, Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony” and Verdi’s “Requiem”. Susan
Yi-chun Chen joined Spokane Area Children’s Chorus in 2008. Yi-chun was a staff accompanist in ballet and general music instructor at the National Tainan Chia-Chi Girls senior high school before she came to the United States. Yi-chun made her debut in Spokane with Allegro, Baroque and Beyond in 2004. She has performed with Theater Ballet
Judy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University. She has taught classroom music in Alberta, Washington, and Iowa and for the last nine years, has led the Lower School music program at Saint George’s School. She also serves as president-elect for the Inland Empire Orff Association. Prior to teaching in
Darnelle Preston, Associate Director and Vocal Coach, joined the Spokane Area Youth Choirs in 1994. She serves as director for Zeffiro and Spirare Choirs. Ms. Preston graduated from San Francisco State University, magna cum laude, with her B.M. in music education. She received her M.M. in vocal performance from Boston University in 1982. Ms. Preston
Kristina Ploeger has been a part of the Spokane Arts Community for twelve years. She is the Director of Music Education and Choral Director at Eastern Washington University. Previously in Spokane she has taught as an adjunct professor at Eastern Washington University and Gonzaga University, as well as teaching 6th Grade Music at St. George’s
